IHG Promo with Daily Getaways

I have been targeted with a 30k points offer + 35% off for three stays - no other info in the offer, no registration activation - has anyone else received a similar offer?

While trying to find info on IHG.com re above, I saw an offer at the bottom of the IHG Rewards page - 100k points purchase at 50% off through 'Daily Getaways' which works out to .007c per point (based on AUD$ conversion) if I have done my maths correctly. The offer states that up to 3 packages of points can be purchased by each IHG Reward member but according to the T&C's of IHG Rewards you can only purchase 60k points per calendar year. Has anyone had an experience with this promo or advice?

Yes I've used in the past, you van actually get as cheap as .585 cents. Good price but only buy if you think you will actually use in the next year IMO

Almost all the 'offers' are for US residents only. This includes the '50% off 100k points' one ....

I phoned IHG to get more info about both offers - first one is targeted and I will get 30k points after just three stays as long as they are completed by Aug 31.

Also asked about the Daily Getaways offer and the agent I spoke with said it was legit and that there was no issue if I wanted to purchase points though the promotion. The agent was aware I was an Australian resident. I asked about the 60k max points purchase limit and apparently this promo operates outside of that restriction - you can only purchase 60k per year directly from IHG.
