ASIC NOT required for the Jumpseat. Have a read of the ATSR's, ASIC is not a requirement, but proof of identity is a requirement. Individual companies may require a higher standard, but some do not. Any company employee can sit on the Jumpseat and many company employees do not have an ASIC.

Times like this you regret leaving the popcorn at home!
I think I saw Virgin put it back on the pantry menu recently!? Trick would be getting it delivered though, given how busy the CS was on the flight. :p

Nothing new Tears just to redivert the attention the jumpseat passenger was getting from CSM onto herself and to get the J seat just to spite the estranged in the jumpseat.

Cynical me? Yes!
My first thought was a show put on for an upgrade of sorts? Wouldn't surprise me with some of the stunts I have seen over the years from people trying to get onboard upgrades.

I think they should charge people an upgrade fee if they refuse to go back to the allocated seats. It might stop a lot of this bad behaviour. The airline would have the credit card details and make it part of the T &C on the tickets.

Do the airlines have a "banned" list? If so then these two should be on it. Surely there is a section in there for people with no behavioural filter.
Having said that - there is a certain satisfaction in seeing how....um.....messed up some folks lives are. Makes me appreciate my quiet little existence......and no doubt PF, that experience made you appreciate even more the QC20s.

I wonder how they are now? For the couple and the lady, having her dream shattered, life shaken and wedding cancelled, probably a CAA charge and a blacklist is seriously the least of her thoughts.

Did any other pax offer any assistance? Were other pax impacted as they perhaps thought of how this could happen in their own lives.

But it did have a happy ending as the J pax got their meals.

A real pageturner.
