I went to book a hotel through the Expedia app as it was advertised as earning triple expedia points if I purchased it that way instead of on the website, but the price on the app for the same hotel is more expensive then the price on their website. Has anyone else noticed this?

I actually was searching for hotels via Expedia yesterday. I noticed the triple point by-line, but havn't downloaded the app as yet. (due to finding the hotel I wanted at a much cheaper price elsewhere)

I usually like to use Expedia and have Gold +, so I might download and have a look just for research and get back to you.

Ok, I downloaded the app and did about 3 searches for potential plans for later in the year. Also did the same 3 searches via website , no difference in prices that I could see.

So, not sure what you were seeing, perhaps a price change on a particular hotel only?

Edit: Perhaps, are you an Expedia+ member? Maybe the app wasn't logged into your account? Often there are 'member' only prices, although they are usually not significant.

ok thanks for looking, I thought It might be something to do with being logged in as Expedia+ member as well, but I logged out of website and app and logged back in on both to double check. Maybe the app wasn't updating properly to realise that I was logged in. Just ended up booking through the website as It was the last room left at that price.
