Has anyone stayed at this property in recent times and got any thoughts

Yes, have looked at Trip Advisor, its got some mixed reviews. I am going end of April. If you're there before that can you let me know your thoughts

I'm booked for mid April (Easter) using a flexible HHonors rate. If something better comes along I could rebook but from what I could tell, it seemed to be a reasonable balance of price and location.

Hopefully some other views from other AFFers - particularly HHonors benefits offered.

Not the best location for beach activities. Le Meridien or the Chateau Royal is better. Le Meridien has direct beach access, and Chateau Royal is on the beach but no direct access. Le Meridien is more expensive, but as we have been a number of time, this is the only place we will consider.
You can walk to the Anse Vata shops and eatery, the Stone grill is very good and so is the Vietnamese place. Book a tour of the southern part of the Island, with Noumea Tours, Manuel know s his stuff, and it very very interesting. Take the Tchou Tchou tour in the late afternoon around Noumea, it leaves from Anse Vata shops at the Le Meridien Hotel end of the shops.
There are Helicoptor rides that leave from the small peninsula that near the Le Meridien Hotel. Also this is the Kite Surfing Area in Noumea, I had a go and it was fun, hard but fun.
The Eateries at Le Meridien are a little expensive, but do eat at La Shogun in Le Meridien is Truly Brilliant, and the Japanese Tourists rave over it.
I hope this help??

I was there a few weeks ago. Booked the cheapest room type, was upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment (am HH Gold) which was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is OK, but there are better dining options elsewhere.
