Hi all,

Yesterday I started planning a future trip that my partner and I have spoken about and remembered the recent announcement that VA would be servicing their AUH flights with their A332 fleet out of Perth, so I decided to try and determine when this flight would be available for our intended trip to Europe. As we fly out of MEL, that was the Origin airport for my search.

In searching for flights late next year for this I found, what is quite possibly, the most interesting routing and SC earn opportunity I've ever cast eyes upon. It has the benefits of going through customs in Melbourne, plenty of time in J on wide-body craft and plenty of shopping opportunities.

I'll let the screenshot speak for itself.

Unless my maths is wrong (quite possibly) that's a very expensive status Credit run.......

Tounge in cheek comment. Why would an airline route you all the way to SIN then PER on a partner aircraft and not just direct to PER on its own aircraft?

Exactly my reason for posting - who knows what's going on in terms of that route being suggested...

Perhaps the sarcasm would have come across better if I had of highlighted the generous lounge access that could be enjoyed during the 12 hour stopover at SIN!

Armature hour at VA once again ... brought to you by the team that gave us $300 airfares to Asia
