Am booking several flights today with VA, all domestic. SYD-BNE; BNE-HTI return over NY and HTI-BNE one way on 24th Jan. The HTI flights I am booking for me and a friend so it's not just a fare for myself.

aside from discount codes that can be used on the flights that are greater than 20 days out, is there anything else I should be aware of that could save me money or be of use? Will mostly be the middle class economy fare as it will put me on silver status with VA. where Getaway fares are way more cheaper however, I'll probably book them but if anyone has some thoughts I am happy to take on advice

Thanks in advance

EDIT: for example - is VA known to drop fare prices around Christmas so I should hold off booking etc. things like this, cheers.

I don't think that silver is worth spending any extra money for. If you fly a lot or expect to then maybe. It's a personal choice.

have a good trip.

Be aware for breakfast on VA short haul the meal is a bite size muesli bar and thats it.

Thanks for the input so far!
Yes I found out about the Muesli bar coming back from The Maldives... thankfully none of my flights will be early morning
