hi all

hopefully someone can help me? I'd like to work out status credits for Mel -Lhr in business with Etihad?

i can't work out if it's 200 (8000 miles+) as the entire journey or 280 (160 + 120) which is Mel to Auh then Auh to Lhr.

Anyone done this trip or just better at working this out than me!!

thanks all

isabel

I have had the same thing flying ADL-xSIN-LHR and they definitely count the sectors separately so you should receive 280 SC's

That's really helpful thanks. So now I will get gold status from just this one return trip. Yay!

As long as you have the 4 eligible sectors yep! Did you buy this ticket via VA? (in which case you only need these 4 flights)

No I didn't, but I already have two eligible sectors, and have a return VA flight coming up soon, which will cover that! Thanks so much

Is it the same flight number all the way MEL-LHR or are there two separate flight numbers, one for MEL-AUH and another for AUA-LHR?

If the former then likely 200 SC's ... the latter then 280 ...

Are there many through flight numbers (like QF1/2 etc) on the VA network? The SQ SIN-CBR-WLG comes to mind as one that might

Good point. In this case, though, the first flight is into Etihad's home base at AUH then the 2nd departs there to go to LHR, so it'll definitely be two different flight numbers. As far as I'm aware, single flight numbers only happen when leaving from a home base and stopping somewhere before travelling onwards (further away), such as the QF flights via DXB.
