Hi all,

Anyone had any experience with any of the HH hotels in Dallas. Any feedback both on hotel and area would be appreciated.

Thanks

I stayed at Anatole last year. Wouldn't really recommend. Pain in the cough to get to DART, and questionable safety, too. Hotel itself was nice but Exec Lounge very poor (albeit probably average for North American standards). Breakfast in lounge for Diamonds.

Not recommended from me.

I stayed at Homewood Suites at 1025 Elm St in October. Quite enjoyed it and the suite was quite big for the price. There is a pool in the basement and a pool table in the lounge.

Very close to the JFK sites such as the Book Shop Depository.

Right near a DART station direct to the Airport which was handy. The actual area itself had a lot of homeless people about but I never felt threatened even walking after dark.

Thanks. Was one of the high on the consideration list. However, looking on Google maps satellite view, didn't look like a great area.

During the week I need to be around Addison, so will most likely stay at the Homewood Suites there. Might give the Hilton Garden a go for one night. Friday and Saturday nights are time for some R&R so thought I may as well try a different area. Another on the consideration list was Hilton Park Cities.

Just looking for an area with some places to eat and drink, preferably walking distance.

Ive stayed at Hilton Arlington. Quite nice, albeit a little dated. No lounge but a good bar.

And Hampton INn Arlington-DFW which is pretty ancient.

But that part of D-FW you need a hire car.

Homewood Suites Arlington.......close to Cowboys Stadium, with a $5 shuttle there from a neighbouring hotel.
That's probably about the best thing going for it.
And a bar just nearby called Redneck Heaven, which I didn't have the pleasure of testing

Stayed at the Lincoln Center for a night four years ago and it was OK. It is next to a large shopping centre. It has an Exec lounge. My one memory was of the road construction on I635, took me an hour to make a 25 min journey. (Hopefully that will be well finished by now.

Stayed two nights at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown early August last year. First time actually stayed in Dallas - transited many times.

Apart from being an extremely cough time of year to be there (temps 40+), the hotel was functional. Very close to a DART stop. Basic buffet breakfast. The restaurant hadn't opened (newish hotel), but should be up and running now.

A little further from tourist bits (but not much more). Also cheaper than other options. But more than a couple of nights, the the Homewood Suites might be nicer? Mind you, 1 day was sufficient to tick the tourist attractions IMHO!

For $2.50 (and ~50mins) each way on the DART, a DFW / Downtown Dallas o/n stopover can be easily done.
