I haven't flown with ANZ in awhile and was wondering if they are still doing a great job recognizing VA Platinums on their LA flights. Thanks for your feedback.

Closer to home you could question how VA treat Velocity platinum members before querying partner airlines.

There's not a lot of WP recognition or benefit on VA metal across the Tasman. Not sure what it's like now, but NZ treatment used to be *miles* ahead of VA on those routes immediately before the divorce. So even if it's dropped quite a bit it's probably still better

Same recognition as non-NZ *G I would imagine which is nothing above required *G benefits.

Flew BNE-AKL-LAX and return last week. Same recognition as I've had a couple of years back, express pass printed in BP, noise cancelling headphones, and inbound express card given to onboard. Was seated in the first exit row of Y on the 777, and had the FA pass us beer and snacks thrum the curtain just after we levelled off.
Best part , being able to still access the *A lounge in LAX.

Thanks Muppet! That's the info that I was looking for.

BTW - the emirates lounge @ lax is pretty nice and really beats the star alliance first class lounge at least in my opinion. In my last couple of times, there have been very few people.

You'll find the *A lounge a lot more quieter now as well :)

not sure what class you're travelling, but upgraded to the Y+ Space seats (via $ bid) and was worth the money. I had 7hrs sleep on the return journey, best flight ive had transpac

Is the *A business lounge quieter too?

The space seats are the reason I was asking about ANZ. Besides it's something different.

I was the only guest in the *A first lounge- around 6pm, and then went next door into the J lounge, Was definitely quieter without the VA flight pax.
The space seats are being removed sometime this year I heard.
