I'm in the process of booking business rewards tickets MEL-HND-MEL on the Virgin Australia website using my Velocity points. When the ticket conditions display a x shows no lounge access. Surely this cannot be correct? Can someone at Virgin Australia please clarify, and more importantly, if the condition is incorrect, have the error rectified.

Shouldn't you automatically get lounge access anyway flying in J on SQ?

Correct. However, this is just another glitch with the VA website. I also encountered an issue when trying to complete the booking, receiving a message that the fare had changed and I had to call the contact centre. In the end I transferred my points to SQ and booked with them - a straightfoward process.

The complete link up to Singapore needs revising. You still cannot book seats on Singapore at all never mind based on your status. Why can one book on AirNZ and they know immediately what your status is and where you can sit??

This is just typical SQ, even when you book directly with SQ there is only limited advanced seat selection. I've tried as VA Platinum, *G as well as no details and it's all the same
