Wamos Air - a review of an A330 flight for LATAM (charter)

Just did Wamos again, this time BOG - SCL. Again great crew. Hard product the same ex-Air Berlin (no problem).

With those crews I just want Rolls Royce to keep the other Latam out of the air indefinitely :) But still no Pisco Sours.

Actually had great interaction with the CSM (appeared to be no Latam person this time). Upon boarding she approached me and started some sort of apology that it was not a Latam plane and was explaining Wamos and where they fit in. I smiled and said no worries, have done it already and loved it - for the crew. She took a few minutes to get it together after that comment, but maybe that is why they were so nice to me :)

Yep that's where I saw it.

I believe largely SCL-LAX will be the route it is mainly used on.

I hope it is a decent plane, even though I never do that route. My research suggests it is an ex-Air New Zealand aircraft (although in the bettween time leased to El Al)

But if it is the NZ bird, I hope, as per the ex-Air Berlin A330's, they leave the original IFE system. Something in me would find it hilarious to have a Latam flight with those famous NZ safety videos :)

Hmmm, i think the "Men in Black" has a very different connotation in Chile, juddles

Saw the Wamos 747 in SCL yesterday - in it's new black and white livery (a request by Latam as the standard Wamos colours are identical to Latam's competitor Sky in Chile)

It may be old, but a 747 sporting brand new paint is still a beautiful looking thing :)
