Hi everyone

This is a long shot, but here goes!

Popsie in the UK isn't doing well, and I'd like to take the wife and 2 kids over to see them for Christmas.

Looking for business premium economy for the long hauls.

I'm a velocity gold and have, 7 figures of Amex points, which I'd like to utilise if economically viable!

We'd like to travel from Sydney around the 17th-22nd (flexible) and spend Christmas and New Year in the UK.

Plan to leave the UK soon after new year and on the return leg we'd like to stay somewhere in the equatorials or southern hemi for a week to ten days.

I know it's late and it's Christmas - but just putting it out there in case anyone has ideas?

thanks for reading :-)

For clarification purposes, is your “7 figures of Amex points” closer to 1m or 5m or higher?

Using points to pay your way, for 4 pax, will be easier the more points you have at your disposal.

Thanks. It's about 1.25m in Amex ascent premium. There's also roughly 450k in Velocity, and 250k in QFF.

Hey everyone... by the lack of response, I'm guessing no one has any good ideas?

See if you can find awards toAsia then look from there.

I had a need to travel to New York between Christmas and New Year - OZ-to/from USA came up with dust but via Asia has much more availability and I ended up with travel via HKG on VA, CX and AA.

Note though that awards for four PAX are difficult to find at the best of times.

I see 4 seats SYD-HKG on Dec 18th on VA in economy - will set you back 180K Velocity and $370 for four.

Then EK 19th December (00:30 departure) via DXB for 180K QFF points $<dunno> for four.

That geta you to Gatwick.
