It's seasonal. They did fly that route as recently as July 2018.I'm looking for QF flights from Sydney to Vancouver in early December but can't seem to find any non-stop flights - does Qantas still fly that route?

In the past it has been, but this may have changed.OK many thanks - I'm guessing that December tis'nt the season then!
Hopefully they do put the flights back on - going via LAX is probably going to earn more SC's but LAX isn't good for one's sanity! In the past it has been, but this may have changed.
Many thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately my trip has to be before QF restarts the direct flights by the looks of it so I'm probably going to be going via the dreaded LAX.
I've heard that it is apparently much nicer to pass through than LAX but I haven't done it - others on here might be able to confirm though. Is SFO less dreaded?

Do we get QF SC's with them? (I do need to accumulate some SC's on this trip) - if so I wasn't aware of that. Of the QF options the best of a rough bunch looks like QF444/73 then UA753 - afternoon departure from Melbourne via Sydney then early evening arrival into Vancouvour.Air Canada flies direct, why not use them?
