I have used the Foxtel one so far and is working. I only saw the Virgin Blue campaign whilst on air last week. This leads to the page where it has campaigns for different airlines .......

Plus on the side note current American Express Membership Rewards (Ascent) will award you 5 bonus points per dollar spent on Hotelclub.

However I don't think you need to go the above link to get 5 bonus points per dollar spent.

Also currently if you make a booking before 15th June you get double member dollars for each booking.

Anyone have a problem with this, I created an account but no dollars, do they take a while to arrive?

It should be instant.

Dont forget they also have some sort of birthday (?10th) bonus, just click on the banner ad, to get an extra $10 credit.

Unfortunately I have found hotelclub's prices to be less than wonderful.

Yep the $50 join up, plus $10 for their birthday special, you will need to enter via a promo link.

The prices can vary somewhat but having $60usd for free is a good incentive to just join and try your luck one day.....

It worked well for me on the weekend when I attended the AFF gathering, and booked a last minute room for $89 at the Unilodge, which I only forked out $29 ..... not a bad price given it was a busy weekend for hotels anyway, and $29 to use a room only 4hrs or so! ;)

They are also pretty quick to enforce the expiry date on these freebies. Not sure abourt the joining $50 but the birthday bonus expires if not used in a month.

Has an existing member been able to get the US$50 credited to their account? When I log into my account I can see that I have an account balance of US$1.39 but nowhere for me to sign up for this promotion.

Has anyone successfully signed up to HotelClub more than once using another email address?

Definitely, one for each night!? ;)

I think the $50 sign up offer is only valid for new members so existing accounts do not earn $50.

And I have signed up using 3 different new email addresses ;) but using my one name and got 3 x $50 :p credited instantly.

For $50 credit, I guess we can be expecting a lot of spam/"permission-marketing" over the next year.

From the sign up page: "As this is a special promotion 50 Member Dollars will expire on 30 November 2008"

Hi all,
I just signed up with 2 different email addresses but the same name.
Do you think can i make 2 reservations in the same hotel with 2 differents account.
It's really save money.
If the room cost $100- $50 discount member=$50
I only pay $100 for 2 nights.

bajajracing,

Hi and welcome to AFF.

I guess this would depend upon the hotel and whether they try to link the bookings. You can but try however don't be surprised if it comes apart.

Thanks ...
but Has anyone try to book via HotelClub more than once using another email address??
I'm lil bit scare if they cancel all my bookings..

It is not worth risking. Sign up to HotelClub with as many email addresses as you like but using the different vouchers on 2 consecutive nights at the same hotel may raise some alarm bells....

but It's really save money.. you can stay in 4star hotel with 3star hotel price.
lol
So I think i have to go different hotel everday then.
Sign up with 5 different email addresses for 5 nights in 5 different hotels.
hahahaha
