The view from our office today of a Red zone. The school around the corner has been closed, and some have already fled to the beach or other safe place. But at this stage there is no actual fire within cooee, so we will watch & wait.

Got through the worst of the emergency today, only to have a fire flare just as the Southerly hit. Seems to be running beside rather than towards our place, with lots of eyes in the sky.

It has been announced that that fire was deliberately lit.
Further south a 9year old boy was warned by police after lighting a grass fire with a blow torch.
