Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thanks for this. Interested to try. $26 postage to QLD but still seems like a decent wine, in a Riesling fan and i love the more obscure whites like Gruner Vertliner. Hoping this is similar.

Medium to full yellow colour with a degree of oiliness in the glass. The bouquet is very varietal without being simplistic or bath-power-like. There is a nutty component possibly echoing barrel-fermentation, and the spicy, honeyed varietal fruit is complex, detailed, and rich on the palate. Full-bodied, intense and powerful with a long, resonant finish. The aftertaste has a little alcohol after-heat and phenolic grip, but it's all within balance. Excellent wine. 23 FEB 2020 Drink 2020–2025

I am also a riesling fan, as I type drinking a Richmond Grove 2003, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I wouldn’t panic - from the Krug web site:

Drink through 2028 - zero chance my six pack will see XMAS 2020!

I meant more from a perspective of how has this wine been stored from the last four years. In a climate controlled warehouse? I'm dubious. I'll crack a bottle within a few weeks of delivery and if it isn't showing well I'll consider returning the remaining 5.

I have an electric taste in wine, if you like a gewurtraminer this is the bee's knee's. Recommended by HH as a top wine under $30, DM has it for $34.95, winery price normally $30, but 67% off at $10 by the dozen, surprisingly no freight at check out. I have tried and a smart wine, but probably for consumption now. SB on special but not a fan.

Thanks gazzab, Re the -

Sorry, is CM CellarMasters here or Coles-Myer (as in don't use Coles-Myer gift cards via cashback rewards)?
Yes sorry, cellar masters, and yes don't use Woolworths egift cards (you could up to a few months ago) otherwise any value of the gift card won't be calculated in the 20%

Ah good-o :)

Is that the same for coles-myer gift cards and first choice via cashback rewards. The T&Cs on cashback rewards indicate it would be.

Sheesh, yeah - I'd certainly be testing one of those out. If CM are half as bad as some of the big chains I'm aware of, I wouldn't trust them over a single Aussie summer, let alone 4. Hopefully yours was from the middle of the pallet!
