Yes, but looks like I have to sign up for Catch to get points and then cancel to avoid a monthly fee, so too much hassle for me.

There was no cost to joining and I didn't have to enter any credit card details, etc. It took about a minute to join Catch - all I did was enter my email and create a password.

I see now the monthly fee is for a higher level "Club Catch" membership, which is not needed for the offer.

Yes that is right. Club Catch is what you have to pay for (after the first month) and not needed for this offer.

One of my accounts received this offer back in October or November last year I think it was and received the 1k points about a month later.

The remainder of the accounts have now received the offer today so linked them all up for easy points. Only thing is your inbox gets a lot of Catch emails (not as much as FlyBuys though).

That would annoy me, but I suppose you can unsubscribe from the emails.

Only thing is your inbox gets a lot of Catch emails (not as much as FlyBuys though).

Can always black list the email address using my spam filter and I'll never see the emails again.

I have made the odd purchase from Catch via Qantas Shopping and earnt decent bonus QFF points. I am concerned if i link FlyBuys to my Catch account, it will impact QFF earn on any future purchase, as not sure you can earn both QFF and Flybuys on same purchase.

Any thoughts?

You could always try on a small transaction. There is the ability to unlink your Flybuys # from your catch account. I'm not sure if you did it now whether it would affect the 1k payout but would be safer once you received your 1k points. Alternatively setup a different Catch Account linking that to Flybuys.
