Could somebody confirm for me please whether it is now again possible to enter Brisbane Lounge directly from outside and check in there (with only hand luggage), or whether I will need to go through regular check in, security, etc and enter from airside? Thanks!

Solution
The Premium Entry in BNE is closed indefinitely. You'll need to check in downstairs, clear regular security and then enter near gate 41.

Many thanks for your comprehensive answer ... you anticipated and even answered my next question. This will be my first experience of flying ex BNE with Virgin!

I'd suggest just checking in with your phone and using a mobile boarding pass. Once you get to the lounge they can print a paper pass if that's your thing.

As for security, there is no premium queue like there used to be but I haven't seen very big lines at the Virgin line (except once during the school holidays).

Thanks. I'll be sure to leave adequate time, just in case. I'm used to that anyway. With Qantas I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually seen premium security policed.
