Me too. Funny as I don't remember booking a paid flight, but maybe a change to a pre-existing booking triggered it.

Only about a six week difference for me anyway as I was previously good through to mid February.

I didn't think I qualified for this extension as I didn't make a booking in the window necessary.
Did fly back in Jan & made a recent booking for October 2021.
Maybe I did as lost track of T&C's as I didn't require it.

Anyway the extension landed in my account, but not needed as I'll be taking the parental / baby pause for 6months which will work out better for me as will re-qualify for gold from my next 12month windows after baby leave.

They may extend again later if things stay relative as they are now.

I received the 12 month extension last march so was not eligible for the latest offer but had taken flights a few weeks ago and my status expiry went from 11 February to 31st march. So not a big deal but better than nothing.

Partner who missed out due to upgrading status last year still shows 4th April this year but she did call recently and they will apply the 12 month extension she received when gold last march to her platinum status. Unfortunately they will be using her original gold review date which was beginning of Feb.

I took four flights in March so got 5,000 points, free Economy X and now the extension.

So my status updated from September 2021 to 31 March 2022. However, I was in the category that my status had already been extended to September 2022 so wasn't really eligable for the latest offer.
Now confused about how Velocity will count my eligibility to retain as if they reset in September. Guessing it will reset again in September

Extension is welcome, still going to be difficult to score another 800 SCs in the coming 12 months. Unless there's another promotion available I suspect I'll be dropping back to Gold next year.

Booked a flight for March but ended up cancelling, yet somehow qualified for this 18 month Gold extension.

They'd already confirmed I'd been extended to my 2022 review day (May), but I'll take the extra few months!

Just got mine too. My review was due in May (which I wasn't going to meet), so this is welcome news.

The whole thing is getting confusing. I've sent them an email. It's one thing to keep extending, but if you book flights in advance that means they aren't going to assist maintaining status as status credits and number of flights are only good for 1 year.

Though I have scored an extra few days of platinum with the extra 6 month extension.
