I would quite enjoy sitting through the eye of a cyclone.. in someone else's building where everything is some else's problem.
I quite enjoy really rough seas for the same reason… bit of adventure but o responsibility for outcomes….

I've seen a few typhoons in HK. On one occasion, watching the Conrad's hotel from ours, and the wind was pulling wall to ceiling windows out. Would have been exciting if any of the rooms were occupied at the time.

Yes, We were "locked in" to our hotel in Hong Kong in the '80s for a few days due to a typhoon. Could not leave the hotel at all, lucky they had a shopping arcade and most shops stayed open, the owners slept on the floor ! But ended up selling lots of things to trapped tourists.

I know - but crays, puhleese...😜
My Grandfather used to just roll his boat down the driveway and over the road into the Dawesville Channel and he'd drop his cray pots every morning. I always remember my mother's crayfish mornay, when he'd drop one in. Yum. The boat is still there.... but doesn't get daily use anymore. He's mid to late 80's now. Oh how I long to pop over and spend a day out on the water with him.......

We have been travelling rural NSW and Victoria such a vast country.
