Hey everyone,

I'm purchasing a new iPhone, AirPods & USB-C connector from Apple. My friend is picking it for me in MEL. I was thinking to have it couriered via AusPost from MEL to CBR.

I was not sure if AusPost will be accepting mobile phones via courier?

I looked into their Dangerous & Prohibited Goods PDF - didn't really specify any information re mobile phones. There is a section for Lithium batteries, but not mobile phones & headphones

Does anyone have experience with this?

No issues as the battery is not loose.. It's sealed inside a handset
Tell him to tell staff it's a mobile at time of posting.

No problems I would check extra transit insurance though just to be on the safe side.

So, update. My mate was finally able to get to the GPO in MEL to send my iPhone. I asked him to purchase insurance as well. So it was about $23 for the insurance and around the same for the express post/courier service from MEL to CBR.

I've got a tracking number and keep tracking it :) The system tells me that my iPhone should be with me tomorrow (28/07), but there is a note that says there might be a delay ... fingers crossed!
