Thanks mate. The Helsinki - Dublin is waitlisted but hopefully this will be confirmed soon. Lots of availability on that route so hopefully it won’t be an issue.
Don't look forward too much to a luxury experience on the Helsinki-Dublin leg. Ours was on a very 'Euro-Business' A320 with minimal legroom, basic meals and the crew we had were more interested in selling merchandise than in removing used plates etc. But at least the centre seat was unoccupied. A lot less enjoyable than long haul in the Finnair A350. From my vast experience, one flight each way, many of the passengers were in Chinese tour groups so their absence could be why there is lots of availability.

The terminal we arrived at in Dublin was like something out of the 1970's with gloomy corridors, ancient facilities and long slow moving queues full of people carrying huge wads of paper and taking ages to be processed. I suppose those crowds may be absent at least.

I’m under no illusion with the HEL-DUB flight but it’s only 3 hours. Also I know Dublin airport well as I grew up in Ireland! They have spent a lot of money upgrading it a few years ago. Not the airport I’m interested in anyway it’s seeing my parents and family the other side of it as we haven’t seen them now for a few years with COVID.
