Allow free change online, fee over the phone!I think Fly Flexible is puting some extra burden on the call center. I sort of hope that once this offer ends, the waiting time will go back to an acceptable standard.
One example where domestic travel is affected is close contacts having to isolate. It’s really not asking much for fee-free changes / cancellations to continue to be granted.30th April is only for domestic bookings. International you have until 30th June to book for travel up to 31 Dec.
Given no testing requirement for domestic anymore not likely you would need to cancel a trip becuase of covid, but if this is a concern suggest you either:
a. buy flexible ticket or
b. get travel insurance that covers covid ( a must for any inetrnational trip anyway).
I really hope Qantas' Fly Flexible doesn't end!
At the moment, domestic bookings only have flexibility until the end of the month.
Has anyone tried changing a booking beyond 1 May? Has there been a fee?
This is not correct (based on Qantas' website):If the domestic booking is made by the end of April , it still has the fly flex conditions regardless of travel date .... any Domestic made from 1May .. it is the normal rules and change fees.

The last few times it has been extended, it was Virgin that extended first and Qantas followed
Whereas JQ site is clear (and generous) - book by 30/4/22 for travel until 31/8/23This is not correct (based on Qantas' website):

But... I see your point when you look at fare rules. But will Qantas phone staff apply it?
- booked between 21 May 2020 and 30 April 2022,
- for travel between 12 June 2020 and 30 April 2022.
Also... doesn't help with award tickets.
Well I guess that's one state, for a start. I think all states do it in one form or another. Is any state still doing close contacts? In NSW its only household members,
