Perth is good for Asian destinations, for LCCs you have Tiger, JQ and AirAsia...

unfortunately for most of the east coast major cities there are much less choices....
 
Not true. I did see the free seats when it first come on sale. and I still saw it the day after. May be they don't have much, but at least their system doesn't crash/timeout etc when you try to book it .... unlike some jets with stars on it ......
You do make a very good point there.
