Hi,

Have read up on this everywhere but can't seem to find any info. I have my ALL card linked to my Qantas FF account. If I make a booking through the Qantas Hotels website for an Accor hotel using my Qantas FF account, will I earn ALL rewards/status on that stay?

The thing I realized after booking was that it never asked me for my ALL number, so it would have to rely on the link between my FF account and my ALL account.

Any experience or info would be much appreciated!

Thanks

The short answer is no, it's highly unlikely.

ALL T&C states that you'll only earn points from direct bookings, or those through "traditional travel agencies". Qantas Hotels is effectively an OTA (like Expedia) and there aren't any hotel loyalty programs that consistently credit to OTA bookings.

Which is frustrating, given the strategic partnership between Accor and Qantas.

I guess I can try showing my card at the hotel and see what happens.

I know what you mean, but Qantas Loyalty and Qantas Hotels seem to be two fairly discrete business units. Qantas elites don't get any benefits with Qantas Hotels (unless they are also Points Club members) so I don't think they've really considered the conflict there.

Qantas Hotels seems geared more towards leisure, and the Accor/QFF tie-up geared towards the business segment.

I stayed at Novotel Glen Waverley earlier this year. Booked first night through QF because I had a voucher to use. No Accor ALL points at all. However, you still receive the restaurant discount benefit for breakfast and dinner. Reception at check in firmly but politely stated "No".

The second night I booked through Accor, so I did receive the night stay recognition as well as QF points because accounts are linked.
