That's why I placed "agglomerate" in speech marks...

Anyhoo here are three corks pulled from some recent wines (all sturdy big-boned reds), two are Diam and one is natural cork just to illustrate the degree to which Diam closures respond to contact with the wine:

Diam on left is from 2010 Haan Wilhemus Cabernet blend, cork on right is from Noon Reserve Shiraz 2010, both with heavy staining.20220827_145518.jpg

Asking for a friend, really. Any idea what this one is? I cannot recall the translator site.

I know that Halliday's scores are inflated but 94 from him and 98 from Winestate Magazine aren't that shabby plus WinePilot's reviewer states:

"Here we have an honest-to-goodness, Clare Valley Shiraz that immediately shouts drink me....blackberry, leather and spicy flavours supported by well integrated tannins before a long and balanced finish. You could keep this for a little while but it is so delicious right now, why wait?"

Half tempted myself at that price :)

Erin Larkin's 94.

I took a swing for a case earlier in the week.

I thank whoever suggested the Orange Canobolas Cabernets. Great drinking.
