IHG have a new offer, but the terms and conditions are so restrictive that it would be difficult to use in practice:

Room must be booked 28 November 2022 (12:00 AM Local Standard Time) until 29 November 2022 (11:59 PM Local Standard Time) for a stay before 31 December 2022.

I guess I can check with my upcoming bookings if it is worthwhile to cancel and rebook them

I also rebooked a couple of stays, getting a slighly cheaper rate since it is close enough to the stay that I am willing to risk non-refundable. Hopefully it'll be worth it

Worked fine for me, the link took me to a webpage where I put in my membership number, then got an email a few minutes later

I registered without issue (although had to scroll through some expired offers to see it) but I realised I cant use without cancelling a booking and rebooking (and there is no availability for same room type) so cant risk that someone else snaps it up, given im travelling with others. Oh well.

Usually the IHG offers apply to bookings already made, that how I was able to get Diamond.

I rebooked a “Standard room” at the CP Queenstown which then overnight changed to a “Std King Balcony” (which I already had but didn’t allow me to rebook directly), so I was then able cancel the previous booking. I’m hoping to get a further upgrade of course as a Diamond member.

Yes I realise that. With work so busy I cant get away more than once pre xmas, so will let this one go. Already getting bonus points on the stay from the previos promo.

Good luck to those who have benefitted. Im sure there wil be more promos soon, IHG certainly seem to have more ways to snag easy bonus points than Accor Plus.

Not a bad haul from two nights at the CP in ZQN. Love it when promos stack up nicely.



Had it been an IC or Kimpton, there would have been a further 20K for the Ambassador signup and stay 2 nights promo!
