Bonus points question/confusion

Hello,

IHG Diamond Elite here (technically until 31.12.2022), but the website still shows me as Diamond Elite.

Trying to book 2 nights at Holiday Inn Express at ADL. After selecting the room, the total points earned will 1205 points and then there is an offer to get 3000 points/night for AUD15/night.



So, 1205 + 3000*2 nights = 7205 points for the total stay. This is what I'm calculating.

However, the website shows only 4710 points! What am I missing? I have logged in as IHG member.

They are Qualifying points for status so often a good buy. They won't show on the booking but they do post reasonably quickly.

Thank you @drron for your inputs. Staying now at Holiday Inn Express ADL. Got upgraded to King Superior on a higher floor
