Ibis Business €90 for one year / €159 2 yrs (See here) comes with comp ALL Accor Gold status as well as some discounts on Ibis hotels, F&B worldwide. It’s been a while since I last signed up last, and as it was that was extended at least one year and then my Gold status had further Covid extensions that finally ended 31 Dec - so I dropped back to Silver.
Unless some other Fastrack or status match promo comes along I’ll probably pay for 1 yr IB prior to my next Accor booking/stay. The Gold status should update immediately but what I can’t remember is if that will automatically show Gold expiry until Dec 2024 or only Dec 23 and rollover further 12 mths on 01 Jan 23?
For example, if I paid today (03 Jan 23), I’ll have Gold at least for the remainder of the year. Then on 31 Dec because I still have IB, that Gold status should be extended until Dec 24 - even though the IB will expire on or around 03 Jan 24. So almost 2 yrs guaranteed ALL Accor Gold.
Obviously, delaying this until needed will maximise the limited usefulness of the IB benefits.
