Hey,

I'm considering booking Emirate's SYD to CHC service in First class soon using Qantas Points. This flight has a Qantas flight number. I'm wondering if I would have access to the Qantas First class lounge travelling on such a ticket? In addition, how would things like the spa work? Would QF call me a day before to reserve a spot since I'm travelling on a QF marketed flight in First?

You won’t get a Spa appointment for that flight as it departs too early.
In other words I would be a shoo-in for the spa since no one would be able to book an appointment beforehand given how early it is?

Question for the brains trust on how the QF First lounge access rules are interpreted for an up coming EK flight.

I’m on a QF code share ticket on an EK flight to DXB. I have a friend on the same flight but on an EK ticket. From the table below as I’m on a QF ticket at face value I can only guest someone who is on a QF, JQ or oneworld flight. If I was on an EK ticket it then allows me to guest someone on an EK ticket.

Going with a very literal interpretation seems stupid but I’m trying to avoid the embarrassment of them being turned away. Does anyone have experience as to how the rules are applied?
