I am in a similar situation having flown last Thursday and only received the base points. Is there anyone who received the bonus status credits at a later date/time than the base points/SCs, but did not have to follow-up to get them? I'm wondering whether to just wait a few days or whether I need to escalate.
Yep, I agree, they both do it about 2 to 3 times a year from memory, nothing unusual with the last one.For all those stating Virgin Australia did this to inflate forward booking, make an IPO look better I assume Qantas must be running out of cash too as they have a DSC offer running.
(From my side I always believe these are standard offerings)

I picture a world of possibilities with Tokyo trips that become one shot WP runs.Yep, I agree, they both do it about 2 to 3 times a year from memory, nothing unusual with the last one.
Although the last VA one was a little lame with the window that you had to fly within.
Hopefully, a more generous one from VA this year, like the current Qantas offer which gives a 12-month window to fly and earn DSC

Wow, row 364 is a pretty big downgrade! Middle seat to boot. Was downgraded from J to middle seat row 364, terrible.
Did you enter the lottery? Was downgraded from J to middle seat row 364, terrible.
Yes.Did you enter the lottery?
Same for return flightDouble status credits posted within a few hours of flight arrival this afternoon
Don't hold your breathe for any sort of compensation. Was downgraded from J to middle seat row 364, terrible. Still waiting on what they give me, economy or J status credits. Will follow up next week. If any compensation $$.
unusual result...checked my bank this morning & $200 from VA, I thought shirley not compo.Don't hold your breathe for any sort of compensation.
You'll notice you were downgraded to a Y fare (aka a Flexi ticket). It doesn't matter if lower fares were available and any refund is from the paid business class ticket to the cost of the Y fare at time of travel.
You may not get anything ... Though you will get the original status credits which sometimes you have to push for.
A reason why I've already moved all my business class flights to economy X for the rest of 2023.
I think the only obsession with Bain Captain IPO'ing Virgin Australia comes in this forum.I was thinking SC's obviously cost less to VA than $200, & heading to an IPO soon, they'd want to keep all cash,
I paid $750 for MEL-OOL-SYD-MEL so 3 legs. don't remember the individual breakup.I think the only obsession with Bain Captain IPO'ing Virgin Australia comes in this forum.
Though glad you got a result. But the question is what did you pay for business class and what was the cost of a flexi ticket at the time?
A refund of the cost difference is a refund ... Not compensation.
I did, but I'm still waiting for March 13th 2x credit. I sent is a web form query Tuesday. If you also flew on 31 March and haven't received DSCs yet, feel free to also call. She didn't tell me I had to wait 4 weeks. (In my case, those status credits will get me to Platinum.)
