Double Status Credits Virgin Australia Activate by 10th Feb 2023. and Travel by 31st March 2023

Is there anyone who received the bonus status credits at a later date/time than the base points/SCs, but did not have to follow-up to get them? I'm wondering whether to just wait a few days or whether I need to escalate.

I am in a similar situation having flown last Thursday and only received the base points.

It could be because I like one of the posts above may have activated and booked the flights as soon as the offer came up.

For all those stating Virgin Australia did this to inflate forward booking, make an IPO look better I assume Qantas must be running out of cash too as they have a DSC offer running.

(From my side I always believe these are standard offerings)
Yep, I agree, they both do it about 2 to 3 times a year from memory, nothing unusual with the last one.
Although the last VA one was a little lame with the window that you had to fly within.

Hopefully, a more generous one from VA this year, like the current Qantas offer which gives a 12-month window to fly and earn DSC :)

I picture a world of possibilities with Tokyo trips that become one shot WP runs.

Double status credits posted within a few hours of flight arrival this afternoon

2 of 3 flights for me posted too within an hour of landing, but 3rd flight was changed as was moved onto another flight as very delayed and landed after next flight took off
Was downgraded from J to middle seat row 364, terrible. Still waiting on what they give me, economy or J status credits. Will follow up next week. If any compensation $$.

Only standard SC have posted for a flight I took 13th March. E-ticket received 1:25pm 30th January after I had registered.

Also, no Double SC's for flights on Friday 31st - these were booked 2nd February.

I guess I'll need to be waiting the four weeks as per the terms before calling about this.

Don't hold your breathe for any sort of compensation.
You'll notice you were downgraded to a Y fare (aka a Flexi ticket). It doesn't matter if lower fares were available and any refund is from the paid business class ticket to the cost of the Y fare at time of travel.
You may not get anything ... Though you will get the original status credits which sometimes you have to push for.
A reason why I've already moved all my business class flights to economy X for the rest of 2023.

unusual result...checked my bank this morning & $200 from VA, I thought shirley not compo.

called now & sure enough it was...I said I wasn't sure cos no call or email informing me, but call center operator confirmed it.
On last weeks call I wasn't fussed re the J to Y deal, just asked what my options are, was simply told refund would be in my account within 21 days...sorta thought yeah whatev's.

I was thinking SC's obviously cost less to VA than $200, & heading to an IPO soon, they'd want to keep all cash, but only 200smackers anyway.
No idea what the amount was based on (maybe cos row 364 middle for a plat), ticket price etc, can imagine some may prefer the SCs. All rather interesting, just happy resolved efficiently & can get thru to call center instantly.

I think the only obsession with Bain Captain IPO'ing Virgin Australia comes in this forum.

Though glad you got a result. But the question is what did you pay for business class and what was the cost of a flexi ticket at the time?

A refund of the cost difference is a refund ... Not compensation.

I paid $750 for MEL-OOL-SYD-MEL so 3 legs. don't remember the individual breakup.

let's say $250approx for that MEL-SYD (the row 364 middle) leg I paid for J which is cheap I know, but $750 / 3 is what it is.

The flexi ticket on the day certainly wasn't $50 so no idea how they came up with 2hunj.

yes true is a refund, not compo & agree the Bain IPO is prevalent here on AFF, quite funny really.

I just called Velocity about a flight on 31 March for which DSCs have not yet posted. The lady mentioned that I was the third person she spoke to today about not receiving DSCs for a flight on 31 March, so she thinks there might be a systematic issue and has escalated it.

If you also flew on 31 March and haven't received DSCs yet, feel free to also call. She didn't tell me I had to wait 4 weeks. (In my case, those status credits will get me to Platinum.)

You might well be waiting. I called 3 weeks ago regarding a stuff up between review date and flights which correctly credited as DSC but are stuck in a status black hole. Was told I would receive a call within 5 business days - called up yesterday but apparently it hasn't been looked at yet 😕

I did, but I'm still waiting for March 13th 2x credit. I sent is a web form query Tuesday.

Fortunately I have another 10 months to sort this out.
