Double Status Credits Virgin Australia Activate by 10th Feb 2023. and Travel by 31st March 2023

You know I actually tried to suggest that to them.... but yeah not getting anywhere with the level 1 or 2 support people on the phone.

They have launched an 'investigation' now - only going to take a few weeks....
Lucky I had enough SC's from the regular flights + a big haul of FlyBuy's SC's come in and filled the gap and managed to scrape through and hit the required SC's for tier renewal

This one point a poster here on AFF mivy always posted, never accept / book etc an offer right on the stroke of midnight AUS time or AEST or whatever cos airline soften use various world clocks for their offers, may or may not state them in the T&C's. wait a day or so then act on offers.
Same goes flying on the last day / hour of the offer to gain the bonus.

Just saves calling in & fighting your issue.

God advice from the fine people at AFF forum.

Indeed lesson learned!

I think you will find it is a US time zOne they use. maybe Texas.

I thought (& I could be wrong) that all IT systems are *supposed* to be programmed to follow Zulu time (GMT) ?? Not everyone follows it, but it would be good to see some uniformity in such things.

Although @oz_mark - Texas time zone is very out of the blue, I'd have never guessed it ..

airline soften
do you happen to know the name of the *softener* airlines use 😆🤣 just kidding :p😆

Once they understand, I am sure you will be credited accordingly. The hard bit is obviously getting them to understand! Good luck.

Inconsistencies in posting of SCs

As you can see - the DSC for the 27/02 trip arrived in full on 28/02. And the DSC for the first leg of todays trip landed right after the plane landed in MEL. However, the SC and DSC for 03/03 flights have not landed yet …

Need the DSC and SC for 03/03 to land so that I can call VA and request ORC.

Just a follow up on a previous question about the status of the SYD<->CBR services that are operated by Link under a wet-lease arrangement. I flew on one Wednesday evening and it has successfully posted with double status credits.

Welp - looks like Velocity finally came through and credited my account with the double status credits... Absolutely no communication from them though - even though after multiple calls to them they said they will email and/or call to let me know the result of their 'investigation'. They just popped up in my account coming from LoyaltyCo - So I guess thats a manual process.

Did you pay J fare and got DSC for the J fare?
No, it was a Y fare.
There was some question about it because the T&Cs say the flight needs to be operated by VA and these flights aren't, but because it's a wet-lease, rather than a codeshare, it counts for the purposes of the DSC promo.

Myself, wife and daughter all signed up for promotion before deadline and received confirmation but no email confirmation. Wife and daughter pool to my account.

Wife flew 9 days ago DPS-BNE and only received 65SCs and 3400+ Velocity points as per normal.

We are flying BNE-SYD next week.

And then a few days later flying SQ return to Thailand.

So difficult keeping up with all these promotions and then following up.

I got all the DSC’s for the flights I have been in and made VA WP for the first time. I still need to lodge ORC for a flight.
Did you need to follow up?

The SC’s for 03/03 landed later that week. But as I was rerouted involuntarily, I need to call VA today to get ORC.
It may not count towards maintaining Platinum in the new membership year?
