How are Status Credits Earned during a Status Hold Treated?

I don’t suppose anyone is an ‘expert’ in how status credits are treated during a status hold?

I’m trying to answer a question for a colleague who is trying to work out taking the status credits v points (QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit), and it’s the first time I’ve been stumped on SCs really, I posted in the relevant ‘status hold’ thread but no replies yet…

- Colleague has status hold (plat) until 31 Jan 2025
- Status Year ends 31 Jan every year
- Is currently at about 700 status credits for this year ending 31 Jan 2024

Question is, do their SCs still reset to zero on 31 Jan 2024 (although they retain Plat though the hold)? Or does the status hold mean no reset of status credits until the hold expires and the status credits roll over into the 2024-5 year…?

Ok so mixed result.

Status retained and extended but all credits reset to zero.

They are happy, they were hoping that the rollover would happen but given the circumstances (didn’t really qualify…Covid extensions amplified effect of the hold…) they are ok.
