Hi All,

I've never actually transited through Sydney on an INTL - INTL connection, but will be doing so next month. Arriving in from CGK around 0630 and then out again to the US at 1700.

I'm pretty keen to head into town for the day but don't want to carry luggage around.

Given its all one PNR, am I correct in assuming that once I clear customs I'll be able to 'bag drop' my check luggage for its next flight to LAX? Being QF I'm guessing there will be a check in counter open somewhere.....

What about storage options for carry on? Are lockers available at Sydney Intl?

Cheers!

As you state "its all one PNR" the airline will (should) interline all checked bags. Bags will not need to process AU customs, even if you chose to leave the airside area (immigration, customs & biosecurity).
If a non AU-NZ passport check the requirements for AU entry.

Anyway if QF for CGK-SYD-LAX [QF42 to QF???] Qantas will interline bags on separate PNR's

Thanks for the responses guys - I guess I'll just check my luggage and carry the hand luggage into town to lodge it in one of the above
