Bonus points renewal date

Greetings AFFers
I have a plat credit card association branded. My annual spend easily clocks over the 100k bonus point cap but in the past it has reset itself on the card renewal date. My card renewal has recently gone thru ( 16 October) for this year but still no bonus points, after bonuses stopping about 1 month ago.
So the phone call to AMEX results and they tell me " my bonus point renewal date is now 19 April. This was as a result of the Qantas changes."
It seems that as I did not sign up for direct sweep I was enrolled in a new MR program and my cap reset. This apparently happened to everyone!
I must say Tegan from membership rewards didn't sound very convincing with her explanation.
So has this happened to anyone here? Has it affected you in any way? I know alot of people here hit their points cap so someone else must have noticed this. Does anyone remember receiving a notice about this change?

I also noticed that I was charged the fee this year but the bonus points did not start appearing. I assumed it was a system lag time issue, but now I am wondering.

A call to AMEX in my future.

***Update***

Just spoke to AMEX and they advised me that they are having computer issues with provision of bonus points.

Some people who have reached their point cap are not having it reset automatically on the yearly rollover.

I have been advised that it will be rectified and my bonus points should appear in the next couple of days.

Here's hoping:)

Did you speak with MR or just the CSM. The CSM I spoke with had no idea and I told them to put me thru to MR. Mr told me the above story

I spoke to CSM, who was conferring with MR and another CSM. I have been told to expect a call today to confirm it has been sorted.

As there is 125000 MR points on the line (.5 bonus per $ to max $250000) I will follow this through closely.

EJB keep me informed please. Whats this about $250000 cap what card do you have?
