Hi we are flying on Qatar from Brisbane to Helsinki return in J Class Feb 2025. We booked direct with Qatar and nominated our QFF numbers. Will we be eligible for Qantas points and status credits? Interestingly, when we first booked these flights we showing on our Qantas apps as upcoming trips. This has now dropped off? The Doha/Helsinki legs are code share with Finnair…..

Yes you will earn points and status credits (check the Qantas calculator to find out how many)

The Qantas app is only intended to show QF tickets and QF flights, you can sometimes see other airlines on there (eg BA is usually included due to the previous JV) but don’t count on it.

Thanks for that, it is interesting these flights were visible on the Qantas app then disappeared after a few weeks…

On the Qantas App, I can view AY flights (QFFaward) and BA (revenue) flights booked for 2025

Yep, I had two future bookings on QR and both dropped out of the QF app a few months ago (not that you could do anything with those bookings).

You also can only view / manage QR bookings on the QR website / app (and not other OW websites now).

I suspect it’s because QR introduced 2FA authentication to view/manage their bookings.

Let us know how you go. Another AFF member has reported issues with these codeshare flights:

I've found the QF app ropey. Even QF flights drop off. Just re enter with the PNR and it will probably add again.

Nope.

QR PNRs require a OTP to access, so the QF app and other OW websites no longer can view, let alone manage QR PNRs. I just rechecked that’s still the case for my next QR trip in a few weeks. QF app chucks up an error.

The exception is QR codeshares and you’ll be directed to the operating airline’s app/website to manage them (as I had to do with a codeshare on IB a few months ago).

I recentIy bought a economy seat BCN to MEL on Qatar. I called QR customer service to let them know of my Qantas FF#. I have gold status on Qantas. They said they added the QFF# to my booking, however, except from being able to choose a "preferred seat" with no fees, I cannot see anywhere that they added the QFF#. Any idea where to confirm this? Also, what about access to the Gold loumge in Doha? What am I supposed to show them to get access?

It’s lurking in the QR website but can be difficult to see. But should be no issue when you check in. The QFF# will be on your BP. That’s all you need for the lounges in BCN (which is quite decent) and DOH.
