I see QF769 MEL PER has been diverted to Adelaide. I'm catching that plane later today. Does anyone have any idea the problem? Nothing on the news.

It's due to depart at 1300. Can't see anything that indicates a technical issue, so I'd hazard a guess that it was a medical.

Thank you, both. It is still sitting in Adelaide. Sorry, I assumed it would return to Melbourne as QF774 and then back to Perth as QF781. I'm interested in QF781, actually.

It just departed. It will become the QF774 and is an hour late departing. If it makes up some time along the way, you should hopefully also be no more than an hour delayed.

Phoned Qantas and they said they had no info other than the booked times on the web (as AIRwin had described). 10 minutes later received an SMS saying QF781 was delayed and would arrive in Perth at 00:55 Friday 13th. "We are monitoring your connecting flight for QF5 from Perth at 23:55 on Thur 12 Sept"!!!!

From 1 minute early to 3 hours late... Are you rebooked on QF777?
