How long do QF take to create flight credits?

OK I've received the flight credit - but then it won't let you use choose a multi-city booking - only one-way or return - aaaargh!! I've tried to find somewhere in the several steps of making a booking where I can enter a flight credit # but there doesn't seem to be anywhere...
Any ideas or help? Am on hold to Qantas but is seems like they are "experiencing very high call volumes" at the moment...

As you've already discovered yourself:
- Flight credits are created almost instantly - you should be able to use the existing PNR/booking reference to re-book right away even before you get the flight credit e-mail
- You can't use flight credits for multi city bookings and you'll need to do the booking over the phone. Make sure they waive any assistance fees since it's not something you can do online yourself)=,
