Struggling to make for 600 to keep Gold Status this year so would like to know if experts have insights into this one. I need to keep Gold for one more year to reach Lifetime Gold.

Flying Jetstar Business Max on a single booking: Osaka-Cairns-Sydney. There are two flights on the booking:

1. Osaka - Cairns leg shows 120 SCs on the Qantas SC calculator. So should be straightforward

2.. BUT no listing on Qantas SC calculator for Jetstar Business from Cairns - Sydney.

I understand that Jetstar does not have a Business Class on Aust domestic flights and seating is in regular economy but the ticket for the sector (+luggage allowances etc) still says Business Max.

Does anyone know how status credits will accrue for this second leg from Cairns-Sydney? Obvioulsy I am hoping it will still be at the Qantas Business Rate but the lack of data on this in the Qantas SC calculator suggests I am in for a disappointment (or additional disappointment given the quality of Jetstar's Business seating!)

It'll credit as economy for CNS-SYD

Thanks for the quick replies. Clearly it isn't going to be at Business rates and I will have to wait and see which Economy rate they credit. Appreciate your help!

Just to close the loop on this question. Both segments were credited as Business which was a nice surprise. So Jetstar KIX-SYD via CNS

KIX- CNS… 130 status credits
CNS- SYD …60 status credits
I’m surprised that Jetstar ‘business’ still does not credit as PE.

FWIW, the JQ website says that this routing (SYD-CNS-KIX) will earn 9450 points + 180 status credits with a Business Max fare. 🤷‍♂️
