It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Qantas is launching a new Double Points or Status Credits offer at midnight. They've already updated this page of their website with details of the new offer:

Register and book between 12-18 March 2025, and travel between 19 March 2025 - 24 February 2026.

Only Qantas marketed and operated flights will earn DSCs.

From the FAQs, here are the flights eligible for this offer:

Australian Domestic and International Qantas marketed and operated flights booked between Wednesday 12 March 2025 and Tuesday 18 March 2025, for travel between Wednesday 19 March 2025 and Tuesday 24 February 2026. QF flights operated by Finnair for QantasOpens in a new tab or window(QF291, QF292, QF295 and QF296) will also be eligible for this offer. Any other flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, and other partner airlines including, but not limited to, Emirates and American Airlines will not be eligible for this offer. Double Qantas Points or double Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. See Airline Earning Table for details.

There's also a double points offer on Qantas Holidays and Hotels bookings, in addition to the current offer:

Plus, when you register for either reward, you’ll automatically earn double Qantas Points on Qantas Hotels and Holiday packages booked by 18 March 2025. That’s 6 points for every $1 spent on your choice of over 500,000 hotels worldwide. This offer is available on top of your selected flight rewards and available regardless if you book an eligible flight.^^ Simply register in the app by 18 March 2025.

For future reference, these are the full T&Cs for the new offer, from the Qantas website:

* Qantas Frequent Flyer members who register and make a new eligible flight booking between 12.01am (AEDT) Wednesday 12 March 2025 and 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 18 March 2025 for travel between 19 March 2025 and 24 February 2026, will have a choice of either one (1) of two (2) available rewards. The choice of either double Qantas Points or double Status Credits must be made before 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 18 March 2025 via the Qantas App or qantas.com. Any changes made to registration after Tuesday, 18 March 2025 will be invalid. An email may be sent confirming successful registration, if you hold a valid email address in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means a Qantas marketed and operated flight (with a QF flight number on the ticket) on an Australian Domestic or International ticket where Qantas Points and Status Credits are normally earned. QF flights operated by Alliance Airlines, National Jet, Airlink, Eastern Australia Airlines and Sunstate Airlines are eligible for this offer. QF flights operated by Finnair for Qantas (QF291, QF292, QF295 and QF296) will also be eligible for this offer. Any other flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan and other partner airlines including, but not limited to, Emirates and American Airlines will not be eligible for this offer. All bookings must be new to be eligible. Any new segments added to an existing PNR during the promotional period will not be eligible. Existing PNR for the purpose of this promotion means a PNR booked before 12 March 2025. Bookings made using flight credits issued prior to 12 March 2025 are eligible for this offer. Flight credits issued on or after 12 March 2025 will not be eligible for this offer. Bookings made using eligible flight credits must be made during the booking of window 12 March 2025 to 18 March 2025. Any bookings made using flight credits outside of this window will not be eligible. For full details, see Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions. Double Qantas Points or double Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. See Airline Earning Table for details. The reward chosen will be earned on each eligible flight booked within the offer period and only one (1) reward can be chosen per member. If a member registers for multiple rewards or changes their reward, the reward fulfilled will be the last reward chosen before Tuesday, 18 March 2025. For example, if you register for double Status Credits and book an eligible flight, you will earn double Status Credits. If you proceed to change your reward to double Qantas Points and book another eligible flight before 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 18 March 2025, you will earn double Qantas Points on both bookings. In accordance with Commonwealth policy, this offer is not available to you if you are travelling for Commonwealth purposes. Double Qantas Points and double Status Credits will be credited within eight weeks after travel. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book (regardless of payment date) and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. Flights which are ticketed but not booked during the offer period will not be eligible. If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, the double Qantas Points or double Status Credits offer will not apply. This bonus offer applies to travel taken by the recipient who registered for the offer. Other passengers in the same booking must register separately to be eligible for this offer. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn double Qantas Points or double Status Credits. This offer is not transferable. If you qualify and register for multiple bonus Qantas Points and bonus Status Credits offers for the same flight segment, the highest value bonus Qantas Points and bonus Status Credits offer will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. Double Qantas Points are based on the Base Rate which applies, or the Minimum Points Guarantee if applicable and for the purpose of this promotion does not include any Status Bonus that may apply for tier members. Only one double Qantas Points and double Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. Double Qantas Points and/or double Status Credits may be earned on multiple eligible flight bookings made during the promotion period. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Points or Status Credits offers offered by Qantas. Flights are subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via the Qantas website including the Qantas App, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees and charges may apply. Flight gift vouchers purchased during the promotion but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Qantas Points or double Status Credits.

And these are the T&Cs for the "double points on Qantas Hotels & Holidays bookings" offer:

Qantas Business Rewards members will earn 9 Qantas Points per A$1 spent on all eligible hotels booked through their Qantas Business Rewards Account made up of 6 Qantas Points for the Frequent Flyer and 3 Qantas Points for the business. Bookings made for Accor hotel offers during the campaign period will not earn double points; however, they will earn 6 Qantas Points per A$1 spent instead of the standard 4 Qantas Points per $1 spent. Points Club members will earn 25% more Qantas Points, and Points Club Plus members will earn 50% more Qantas Points. Double Qantas Points or double Status Credits will not be earned on cancelled, amended or refunded bookings. Double Qantas Points or double Status Credits cannot be split between two or more members occupying the same room. The amount you earn depends on your flights, fare class and member status. Status Credits are not transferable and will be governed by the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions. Eligible Qantas Hotels and Qantas Holidays bookings can be made via the Qantas website, the Qantas App or Contact Centre by calling 13 70 66. Qantas Points and Status Credits will be credited to your account within eight weeks of hotel check-out.

I will probably register after midnight UTC then either start booking flights etc. or wait another day.

Had been hoping this would land in a few week’s time rather than now, but I would have used this offer whenever it came.

Registering before midnight UTC is fine - it is the PNR creation that needs to be after midnight UTC.

Say I book Syd to Milan and it’s Qantas then a BA flight, do I get DSC on that whole flight or just the Qantas metal flight? Unsure if that counts as a ‘Qantas marketed flight’

Is this still something required? Anyone have any anecdotal experience from last promo?
If it doesn’t automatically credit you should be able to chase it up if you keep your boarding passes and e-ticket after the 8(?) weeks or whatever the T&Cs now say. I would prefer to minimise the risk of needing to chase it up.

Yeahhh.. it’s better to play it safe. Despite the anxiety of waiting 9 hours and hoping your preferred flights don’t get snapped up 😅

We've put together a list of the best QF status runs that you can currently book on the Qantas website:

Most of the best status runs this time around, quite predictably, are Business Class to New Zealand.

The good Business Sale fares we used to see to DPS are pretty much gone now, unfortunately.

There aren't many great deals available to Europe (in terms of $/SC) but if you want to get to Paris, booking SYD-PER-CDG in Premium Economy isn't terrible value. As an added bonus, the SYD-PER leg may book into J.

Hi madrooster & gurus,

The T&C says: Qantas Frequent Flyer members who register and make a new eligible flight booking between 12.01am (AEDT) Wednesday 12 March 2025 and 11.59pm (AEDT) Tuesday 18 March 2025 for travel between 19 March 2025 and 24 February 2026

I guess it should be fine to book the flights before midnight UTC?

First time to the game. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Even though the T&Cs say AEDT in practice QF’s computer systems run on UTC. If you book before midnight UTC on the opening day of the promo you may find the DSC do not automatically credit. You can request them but QF would want to see the e-ticket and boarding passes and for you to wait the time specified in the T&Cs that the DSCs may take to credit before contacting QF to get it sorted.
