Hi all, I need some assistance or advice please, does anyone have experience with calculating when the "within 90 days" rule for loyalty bonus status credits, when the 90 days is right at/around one's anniversary date, and obviously wanting to time it for the the 50 Status Credits to count towards my anniversary year.

My dilemma is, in wanting to get as many QF SC as possible esp with a DSC offer which counts towards lifetime - can I book a flight on 31 March on QF to get another 20 SC, and hit my loyalty bonus counter on 500SC on April 2, to then claim the loyalty bonus on July 1? Is that "within 90 days"? Does the 90 days start counting from April 2, or from April 3?
Do I forgo the 15SC on my JQ flight? Do you even trust JQ staff to remove the QFF number?
Do I just fly VA/JQ for my flight on 31 March to avoid?

My current situation and forward bookings as follows.

My Qantas membership years concludes on 30 June 2025, new anniversary year starts 1 July 2025.

Loyalty Bonus counter as at 12 March 2025
Your next Loyalty Bonus is at 500 Status Credits
You’ve earned 410 Status Credits on eligible Qantas or Jetstar flights

Forward bookings - current situation.
WB 24 March - expecting 45SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 455SC
30 SC - 3 flights on QF in discount Y MEL-CBR/CBR-SYD/SYD-OOL
15 SC - 1 flight on JQ Flex OOL-MEL (is it possible if I remove my QFF number from this booking so then I don't get 15 SC credited? what a waste....)

WB 23 March - expecting 20SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 475SC
20SC - QF in discount Y - MEL-CBR return

WB 31 March - expecting 20SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 495SC
20SC - QF in discount Y - MEL-ADL return on April 2nd

WB 19 May - expecting 20SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 505SC - Loyalty Bonus reached and 90 day period will extend past 1 July

Forward bookings - current sitch AND if I received another 20 SC on 31 March

WB 24 March - expecting 45SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 455SC
30 SC - 3 flights on QF in discount Y MEL-CBR/CBR-SYD/SYD-OOL
15 SC - 1 flight on JQ Flex OOL-MEL (is it possible if I remove my QFF number from this booking so then I don't get 15 SC credited? what a waste....)

WB 23 March - expecting 20SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 475SC
20SC - QF in discount Y - MEL-CBR return

WB 31 March - expecting 40SC, so loyalty bonus counter will be 505SC on 2 April
20SC on 31 March - QF in Discount Y MEL-SYD return
20SC on 2 April - QF in discount Y - MEL-ADL return on April 2nd

Hope I made this clear enough, any assistance much appreciated. I have not yet asked QFF team.

My understanding is date of the flight is the key. Not date booked.
Does WB mean "want to book" or something else?
Do not over think this.

Yes definitely date of flight is key. If I qualify for loyalty bonus on April 2, can I accept my loyalty bonus on July 1? Is that technically "within 90 days"?
WB means Week Beginning.

For anyone wondering, I called up QFF, they said should I qualify for it on 2 April, I will have up to and inclusive of 1 July to allocate the bonus SC. I have asked for them to put this into an email in writing for me, should I run into any issues later.

So the interesting thing about things like loyalty bonus is that i believe its the day it's triggered not the day that the flight is backdated to.

So for example if you took a JQ flight that would trigger it on Apr2 but you don't receive the SC until Apr 9 (because JQ isn't instant) i believe the 90 days start when that trigger is hit on Apr 9 when it backdates it to Apr 2. So if you're triggering it with a JQ flight, you should have plenty of time.

It's being triggered with a QF-flight on April 2. Email from QF has now come through.

"Thank you for contacting Qantas Frequent Flyer.

As requested, this is to confirm that Loyalty Bonus Offer is valid 90 days from the date that it is achieved. In case you earned 500 Status Credits from Qantas or Jetstar marketed flights on 02-Apr-2025, your Loyalty Bonus can be redeemed until 01-Jul-2025."

Ah sorry i thought you were taking a JQ flight that day. But yes unless something messed up QF flights generally are instant (I've even had SC land whilst I'm still sitting on the tarmac at the gate before taking off).
