It's standard, I believe. I didn't have much of my new travel booked when I dropped.
Yes - it's just their standard. QFF soft-lands you through the status levels, regardless of what you have flown in the period. If a P1 stopped flying before retaining and never made another SC, they would drop to WP for a year, then SG for a year, then PS for a year, before settling at NB.
