I've found my ideal Travel Charger

Sorry, I was meaning for charging into the laptop USB C wall to USB C Surface ( like my Dell laptop) which would save me lugging around the transformer.
sounds like this:
My Surface 3 certainly does. I bought one of the above mentioned adaptors from amazon before I realised just straight usb C (with a decent wall plug) charges it too.

these are better :)

Amazon Costco Kmart

Kmart ones have got a USB c which I think is better

Oh 60 AUD at Costco that is steep for someone earning 30 an hour. But at K-Mart 20 AUD with USD C. Arlec so quality is good. Unless somebody knows that Costco brand is superior? Also Amazon have a variety of choices and price points starting around 13 AUD to 59.

your choice - google is your friend

good idea :)

any bus issues?
No issues on busses, in the past I just approached the driver and asked could it could be plugged in if there was space available, if I cannot speak the language I just show the drive the device and they know what I am after. I have used it on tour and some public busses (longer trips) without an issue using it to charge phones, iPads and my battery. In Mongolia I had asked to plug it in on day 1 and it stayed in place for 5-6 days and was used by the guide and driver as well.

Over the past couple of years, I've moved to having all my tech gadgets use USB-C charging, which has made life much easier in terms of needing to carry power packs and power adapters around. But Now I think I've found my ideal travel charger system - at least under current requirements:

Its the versatility of the plugs and cable that won me over really. Very few similar products available that can do similar - I've only ever seen two others, and they were only available in the USA.
