QF/JQ Through Check Experience

So just wanted to see what everyone's experiences are on QF/JQ.

Booked several sectors of flight, sold by Qantas all under one PNR.

Have a flight marketed by QF (QF5xx_) on JQ (domestic NZ to AKL) connecting to an QF international flight to MEL from AKL.

When checking in for the JQ flight, will JQ through check the luggages to MEL? I have just checked in and they said no however i would have thought given this is a QF marketed flight, they should be through checked?

No, Jetstar domestic doesn’t check bags to or from anything else, even if it has a QF code.

The key here is anything connecting with Jetstar domestic will never have through check (except possibly Jetstar Japan), but Jetstar international there may be a chance.

Jetstar international there may be a chance.

JQ international is highly likely, they will connect between QFd and JQi. JQd is the problem.
