Just got an email from Best Flights re a special today for flights to the US in August starting from $759 return all-in. Zone 1 fare includes Atlanta, Detroit and Minneapolis so this looks to be directed at places where Delta flies.

I just did a sample booking on unitedairlines.com.au and was able to obtain a return fare from MEL-MSP for $763.71AUD for travel dates 6/08/2010 - 22/08/2010. I know the United economy experience can be painful with no IFE (other than screens in the aisles), but for anyone wanting a cheap economy fare, this one is a goer.

Nice find..

United have had MEL/LAX in August for about $900 all in for the past several weeks. Sale does end today. It's worth noting also that these fares do qualify for FF points in pretty much all * Alliance programs. For those in the BD 55k+ club you will earn 46,000 miles for the MSP itinerary at $763.

UA/DL have fares around $840 in August. Including places like YVR.
