I recently tried V Australia for the first time and flew LAX-BNE in Business class.
Typically I get a vegetarian meal and this was provided on the dinner service.
After dinner I completed the breakfast menu card indicating what I'd like and these were collected by the crew.
When the breakfast service commenced the flight attendant brought a hot breakfast which was in contrast to what I indicated on my menu.
I thought that they accidently gave me someone elses breakfast.
She advised me that was a 'vegatarian breakfast', (yes oddly Weetbix apparently arent vegetarian) and walked away.
I wasnt tickled by the lump of steamed spinach, half a cooked tomato and 3 button mushrooms and left it in wait for a crew member to come along.
The next time the crew return was to collect my tray and the flight attendant looked at my untouched meal and commented something like "oh, not hungry"
I said that indeed I was hungry but not a fan of cooked breakfast.
She did ask me if there was anything else I'd like and I said I would have preferred something from the menu I had selected earlier.
However she looked at the tray and said that was my breakfast.
The interesting part was the guy next to me and a few other passengers around me were being brought 2nd and 3rd helpings.
Tired and hungry I was biting my tongue as I am not one to cause a scene, I finally got one of the crew members to stand still long enough for me to explain the situation.
The outcome....."sorry, we've finished the breakfast service"
Now some of you might say, why not just eat what's in front of you.
If I paid $900 and flew economy I'd say fine.....but I dont think this is something you'd expect on a $10,000+ return fare in business class.
I'm so peeved that I want to write to them to make sure they smarten their act.
But of course the website doesnt have a postal or email address.
Instead there's a online form for complaints that has a limited number of characters which doesnt allow enough information.
I get vegetarian meals for all flights and the likes of Emirates, Singapore Airlines or Qantas have always given me what I ordered on the menu and not just given me what was there.
It's not like a restaurant where if you dont like the service you can get up and leave and go somewhere else.
When you've been in the air on various flights on the go for the past 21 hours it's not a pleasant experience.
I'm keen to know what others on here think.
Is this something you find acceptable for international business class????
