Well done nlagelle, and welcome to the club. ;) So glad you could join us. :D

Indeed, welcome to the club. :) I made it last week and now don't have a QF flight until my next membership year, i.e. Dec. Funnily enough my last SG flight was in QLD as well, a CNS-SYD flight. Ironically my first SG flight was a BNE-CBR as will my first WP flight, same work event attended as well.

Still I must admit I am looking forward to F lounging next year on my Circle Asia trip. As long as the two Korea's don't do any more warlike stuff it should all be good.

Thanks everyone! None of my non flying friends understand the milestone!!

this is a breakdown of my trips to get to WP

13 x MEL-SYD
2 x MEl-CBR
2 x MEL-DEL
6 x MEL-BNE
1 x MEL-BNE-TSV

For a total of 54 flights all up.

And I am looking forward to an F lounge run next year on JQ ;)

Well done! I reached Plat in Oct this year, and my +1 was somewhat non-plussed:oops:

That is a lot of flying, esp domestically. Importantly, will you try to retain it next year? I got to WP slightly less painfully in 18 flights:p:

Well done - just clicked over to Platinum myself in the past 24 hours (MEL - PER)- of course there would be no J lounge in PER.

Combination of Y and J trips to PER with the odd MEL-SYD and a MEL-LHR in J... at least it's only 1200 status credits next time round - until any future programme enhancements;)

Congratulations. 54 flights is many!

I hit the milestone back in September, I think after 70 odd flights (very rough guessimate that I'm not going to check right now). So I know the achievement. Very much enjoying the published benefits and I have 980 SC booked in already for this year.

And I am looking forward to an F lounge run next year on JQ ;)

Yep, that will be good. I'm also planning a JQ35 for next year.

Congratulations Nick. Catch up with you again in a domestic business lounge.

Unpublished benefits? Are there any left after the recent "enhancements"? ;)

My very unexpected opup on a LAS-LAX flight yesterday was most certainly a result of my WP (and being the day before thanksgiving with apparently no EXP's o nthe flight!) and was a nice surprise to get that beep-at-gate.

Welcome to the now not-so lofty (courtesy of QF) heights of WP'erdome. It's getting cozy up here :)

Congrats!!

Like some others I hit WP for the first time this year. It's very addictive :)

I'm already well on my way to requalifying for this year.

Although my +1 has just spent the last 24 hours ridiculing me for flying LAX-DFW-TPA-MIA-LGA-YYZ, rather than just direct!

She doesn't understand - but is more than happy to enjoy the benefits naturally ;)

Enjoy your achievement, and as others have said, you'll appreciate the unpublished benefits when they happen :)

The girlfriend & I made WP for the first time, two months ago :p And in our first week as WP's, we both got op-up'ed from Y to J flying SIN-SYD on BA. Given we had paid cheapie $380 ow tickets, the op-up would have been worth say $1,000 per person ;) We thought this was great and being WP had paid off.

Then the F Lounges; Ok after two F Lounge visits, I am almost over the novelty of the F Lounge, sure its a great place and is muucccch more nicer than any J Lounge but .... it means I have to go to the airport realllllllllllyyyyy early now just to benefit from those nice lounges - and I don't like going to the airport early!

But the FLounges may be worth it.

At least now you don't need to leave girlfriend in the J lounge whilst being guested anymore ... ;)

I forgot that particular downside to WP status. Now I have to sit in the F lounge with MrsH! :p

Congrats by the way!

Now what kind of proper gentleman would ever consider doing such a thing? :D
