Whilst I normally avoid Air India, it was my only option in order to get home for a comittment on Saturday morning..

J only had 4pax out of about 20 seats. So on AI380 leaving Delhi at 00:15 (actual departure Time - 01:00) landing SIN 08:05. What does the crew do after serving meals and tucking everyone in?

Having a nice sleep on the empty seats in the back of J until the captain woke us up before touchdown.

So I take it your review does not constitute a glowing recommendation!

Food, seat, IFE, lounge and price wise , how do they go?

When I fly SAA I know I am only buying a seat, as long as your expectations are aligned then nobody is out of place I guess. Agree?

That’s amusing but then I knew it would be when I saw the words “Air India” and “Business Class” combined in the thread title. :)

Well it wasn't so much a review as much an anecdote..but certainly not glowing either way. As for the rest, ok here goes:

Food: average, not nearly filling enough, and certainly not upto the J standard of meals offered by other airlines
Seat: old, not quite layflat, the only positive aspect was the seats are wide enough
IFE: almost non-existant, basic 4 channel video, 8 channels of audio.
Lounge: at the new New Delhi Airport T3, there is no lounge for Air India, you are given a voucher to use at one of the cafe/bars upstairs in the terminal.
Price Wise: well they do get some favours in this department, not the most expensive of J legs you can take.

When I've flown Air India in past, even expecting a seat is a bit too much off them.

Unfortunately the rest of your review doesn’t sound too good, despite the amusing nature of FA’s having a sleep at the back of J
