Ok so statement has been generated and the $10 test was not treated as cash advance and generated points. I've now tried $1,000 and will report back when I get the next statement. If the $10 went through successfully I can't see why the $1,000 won't. Now to see how many times I can do this before either the credit card company or the other company change their terms and conditions!

yes, the $1,000 was unfortunately picked up, so back to the drawing board on this one.

I have an idea however it requires a bit of effort to set up. I'll see if the results yield anything when I give it a go.
