VA pilot blown by a QF pilot in BNE..!

Virgin pilot blown over by Qantas jet | News.com.au

Another media beat-up? The only way I can even dream of this happening (understanding the dynamics involved) is if the GROUND STAFF had misaligned the AC when pushing off from the terminal and being way too close to another AC - I just cant imagine how this could happen! But even then the thrust would have to be very high to cause an accident like this assuming the VA AC was parked next to the 747 at the time. Something fishy here and again No News has the upper hand as they are seemingly impervious to repercussions from their continuous stream of utter cough they post.

Beat up or not; it seems a pretty serious workplace accident that will need investigating.

I am surprised more isn't being made about the stairs - they clearly weren't heavy enough to be blown over so easily.

But if both aircraft were parked correctly and we following procedure, surely it goes back to the Airport/Traffic control?

I hope this accident does not destroy this blokes career - if it does, he will be bitterly disappointed with the workers comp payout.
